What Changes Between a Kitchen Spec and a Wardrobe Spec
Wardrobes carry less moisture risk than kitchens but more visible surface area — shutters, especially in sliding or wardrobe-door configurations, are what a room actually sees every day. That shifts the priority from moisture grade toward finish quality and hardware smoothness.

Typical BOQ
A standard 8×7 ft wardrobe run typically needs 4–5 sheets of 19mm plywood for the carcass and shelving, plus 2–3 sheets of laminate or veneer for shutter faces, sliding or hinged hardware, and adhesive.
Buying Tips
For sliding wardrobe doors, confirm the shutter substrate can take the weight of your chosen sliding hardware before finalising material — heavier veneer or glass-faced shutters need a stiffer backing than standard laminate-on-HDHMR.
