Product Description

Fevicol HeatX is a synthetic rubber contact adhesive built to hold where standard adhesives soften under heat, rated to 170°C. Its quick-grab, springback-resistant formulation is the specialist choice for insulation, HVAC ducting and high-temperature furniture and industrial bonding, drying in 4-6 minutes with full strength at 24 hours.

Key Features

Heat resistant up to 170°C

  • Quick-grab bond with strong springback resistance — holds firm on curved and vertical surfaces
  • Dries within 4-6 minutes at room temperature; full bond strength develops within 24 hours
  • Suitable for bonding a wide range of insulation materials — nitrile rubber, EPDM, XLPE, glass wool, rock wool
  • Greenish-yellow liquid, viscosity 23-30 Poise at 30°C

How to Apply

  1. 1.Ventilate: Work in a well-ventilated space — HeatX is a highly flammable, solvent-based adhesive (toluene diluent), so keep it away from open flames, sparks, and heat sources.
  2. 2.Prepare: Ensure both surfaces are clean, dry, and free of dust or oil.
  3. 3.Apply: Brush a thin, even coat of HeatX onto both surfaces to be joined.
  4. 4.Wait: Allow the adhesive to reach the correct tack (typically a few minutes) before joining — check for a light, dry-to-touch tack rather than pressing while wet.
  5. 5.Join & Press: Bring the surfaces together and press firmly, especially along curves or edges, to prevent springback; full bond strength develops over 24 hours.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where can I buy Fevicol Heatx in Hyderabad?

EightxFour supplies Fevicol Heatx across Hyderabad — request a quote and we'll confirm current availability and delivery timeline against your quantity. Send your list or BOQ for a priced quote; first response in under 15 minutes during business hours.

How much does Fevicol Heatx cost in Hyderabad?

Fevicol Heatx is currently ₹63.36 – ₹2235.42/pack, excl. GST. Rates move with the market — request a quote for today's price on your quantity; project quantities are priced as one order.

Is Fevicol HeatX dangerous to work with?

It's a solvent-based, highly flammable adhesive with a very low flash point (0-4°C), so it demands real care: work in a well-ventilated area, keep it away from any flame, spark, or heat source, and avoid smoking nearby. With normal precautions it's safe for professional and industrial use.

What temperature can a HeatX bond actually withstand?

The cured bond is rated for heat resistance up to 170°C, which covers most HVAC ducting, hot water line insulation, and low-pressure steam line applications.

What does 'springback resistance' mean, and why does it matter?

Some insulation materials naturally want to spring back to their original shape after being bent around a curved duct or pipe. HeatX's quick-grab formulation holds the material firmly in its bonded position, preventing it from peeling away from curved or vertical surfaces.

Can HeatX be used for standard furniture laminate work?

Yes — it bonds laminate to wood and PVC laminate in furniture manufacturing, particularly where quick grab is needed. For everyday flat-surface laminate pasting without a heat-resistance requirement, Fevicol SH, HiPer, or SpeedX are more cost-effective.

How long before a HeatX joint reaches full strength?

It dries to the touch in 4-6 minutes at room temperature, but the joint should be left for 24 hours to reach full bond strength before it's put under significant load or heat stress.

What materials can HeatX bond together?

It's formulated for insulation materials — nitrile rubber, EPDM, XLPE, glass wool, and rock wool — onto duct, concrete, wood, or metal surfaces, as well as laminate-to-wood and PVC laminate bonding in furniture.

Does HeatX require any special storage precautions?

Yes — store it away from heat, sparks, and open flame, in a cool, well-ventilated area, with the container tightly sealed. Its low flash point means it should never be stored near ignition sources.

How is HeatX different from Fevicol SR 998?

Both are synthetic rubber-based contact adhesives, but HeatX is specifically engineered for high heat resistance (up to 170°C) and curved-surface insulation work, while SR 998 is a more general-purpose industrial contact adhesive for bonding dissimilar materials like metal, glass, leather, and PVC board.

What PPE should I use when applying HeatX?

Gloves, eye protection, and good ventilation (or a respirator in enclosed spaces) are recommended given the solvent content and flammability — treat it with the same care as any solvent-based industrial adhesive.

Can HeatX be cleaned up with water?

No — being solvent-based, it won't clean up with water. Wipe excess adhesive while still wet with a rag, and use an appropriate solvent for any dried residue, following standard safety precautions.

Is HeatX suitable for DIY home use?

It's really an industrial/professional-grade adhesive suited to insulation contractors, HVAC installers, and furniture manufacturers. For general home woodworking, Fevicol SH or HiPer are simpler and safer options.

What thicknesses does Fevicol Heatx come in?

Fevicol Heatx is available in 5 L, 2 L, 1 L, 500 ml, 200 ml, 100 ml.
