Product Description

Fevicol Nailfree (Nail Free Ultra) is a one-part, moisture-curing adhesive-sealant that replaces nails, screws and clamps for fixing skirting, panels, wall cladding, tiles and trims across wood, metal, glass, tile, stone and concrete. It's especially popular for wall panelling and louvers, holds roughly 18-20kg per sq.ft. after cure, is UV and weather resistant, and paintable after 24 hours.

Key Features

  • High initial grab plus strong final strength — no clamping, nailing, or taping required
  • Cures via atmospheric moisture into a tough, permanently elastic rubber
  • Primer-less adhesion across most common construction substrates
  • UV and weather resistant with no shrinkage after cure
  • Paintable after 24 hours
  • Post-cure holding capacity of roughly 18-20 kg per sq. ft. — strong enough for heavy panels and cladding
  • Dispensed from a cartridge using a standard pistol-grip caulking gun

How to Apply

  1. 1.Prepare: Ensure both surfaces are clean, dry, and free of dust, oil, or loose material. Primer is generally not required.
  2. 2.Load: Cut the cartridge nozzle to the desired bead size and load it into a standard caulking gun.
  3. 3.Apply: Apply adhesive in dots, dabs, or a continuous bead to one surface, following the pattern appropriate for the material size and weight.
  4. 4.Join: Press the two surfaces together firmly within the open time; temporary support (tape, props) can help hold heavier items in place while the moisture-cure process begins.
  5. 5.Cure: Allow the adhesive to cure fully before heavy loading; it can typically be painted over after 24 hours.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Fevicol Fevicol Nail Free Ultra available in Hyderabad?

Yes — EightByFour stocks Fevicol Fevicol Nail Free Ultra for delivery across Hyderabad. Request a quote for current availability and lead time.

Is Fevicol Nailfree good for fixing wall panels and louvers?

Yes — this is one of its most popular uses. It's widely used to mount wooden slat panels, louver profiles, and wall cladding onto aluminium channels, battens, or wooden frames, giving a clean, invisible fix with no face-nailing or screw heads to fill and finish.

Will Nailfree hold heavy panelling or louver sections without extra support?

Its post-cure holding capacity is roughly 18-20 kg per sq. ft., which comfortably supports most panelling, louver, and wall cladding installations. For very heavy or tall panel runs, temporary props or tape while it cures is still good practice.

Do I really not need clamps or nails at all?

For most of its intended uses — skirting, trims, panels, tiles — yes, the high initial grab holds the piece in place on its own. For heavier items or overhead fixing, temporary support (tape or props) until the adhesive cures is still good practice.

How long does Fevicol Nailfree take to fully cure?

Initial grab is immediate to a few minutes, but full cure depends on atmospheric moisture and joint thickness — as a guide, allow 24 hours before painting and longer before subjecting the joint to significant stress.

Can it be painted over?

Yes, it's paintable after 24 hours, once the surface has cured sufficiently to accept paint without affecting adhesion or finish.

Is it suitable for outdoor use?

Yes — it's UV and weather resistant, making it suitable for exterior trims, fixtures, and fittings exposed to sun and rain.

What materials can it bond together?

An unusually wide range: plywood, drywall, cement board, tile, glass, mirror, ceramic, porcelain, corian, concrete, marble, granite, brick, aluminium, ACP, steel, and more — most common construction and fixing materials in one adhesive.

Does it work as a gap filler too?

Yes, beyond pure bonding, it's also used to seal gaps between different construction materials, similar to a construction-grade sealant.

Is Nailfree strong enough for structural loads, like fixing a shelf?

It's designed for fixing, trim, and panel applications rather than primary structural support. For heavy structural loads, mechanical fixings (screws, brackets) should still be used, with Nailfree as a complementary bonding/sealing layer rather than the sole support.

Do I need a primer on glossy or non-porous surfaces?

Generally no — it's formulated for primer-less adhesion across most substrates, including glass, tile, and metal, though a spot-test is wise on unusual or heavily coated surfaces.

What size cartridge and gun do I need?

It's available in a 320 g tube and a 435 g cartridge; the cartridge requires a standard pistol-grip caulking gun that accepts 300 ml / 435 g cartridges.

How is Nailfree different from Fevicol SH or HiPer?

SH and HiPer are wood-to-wood carpentry adhesives requiring clamping and drying time. Nailfree is a construction adhesive-sealant for multi-material fixing jobs — skirting, panels, tiles, trims — where you want to skip clamps, nails, and screws altogether.

Does it shrink or crack over time?

No — it's formulated with no shrinkage after cure and stays permanently elastic, which helps it accommodate minor material movement without cracking.

What thicknesses does Fevicol Nail Free Ultra come in?

Fevicol Fevicol Nail Free Ultra is available in 435 gm.
