Birch plywood is the panel designers reach for when the edge is part of the design. The birch core has no visible voids, so a cut or routed edge looks finished without banding — which is the whole reason it costs a multiple of commercial plywood and the whole reason to use it only where that edge shows.
The Hyderabad supply is imported Russian / Baltic birch in BB/BB grade (both faces clean). It is heavier and stiffer than commercial ply, cuts chip-free, and takes a clear finish or a light stain the way an Indian hardwood-core sheet does not. Birch ply grades — B, BB, CP, C and the glue class
A birch panel is described by two letters (the two faces) plus a glue class. The letters set the look; the glue class sets where it can go.

Retail and display fit-out
Fast to finish, photographs well, and holds a screw fixing in the edge far better than commercial ply — useful for demountable display joinery.
Where commercial ply is the right call
Any hidden carcass, wardrobe body or back panel. Birch there is money spent on an edge nobody sees.
