MR stands for moisture resistant, and the name oversells it. An IS 303 MR sheet handles humidity and the occasional splash; it is not built for standing water, and it will delaminate under a leaking sink trap given enough time.

MR vs BWR vs BWP vs FR
Grade is the single biggest driver of plywood price, and it is set by the adhesive and the boil test the sheet passes — not by the brand's marketing name for the range.

TV units and bedroom storage
MR throughout, unless the unit backs onto an external wall that takes monsoon driving rain.
Where not to use MR
Kitchen base units, bathroom vanities, utility and balcony joinery, and anything below counter level near a water point. Use IS 710 BWP instead.
